The EIGHT
Beside the value of her number the 8 symbolizes eternity.
She doesn't know any beginning or end. No alpha, no omega - so in eternities natural system nothing will ever get wasted or lost.
The process of genesis is eternal for itsself.
Even if human beings don't know on which point of eternity they just are - in their own human existence, on earth,
in the sun system, in the universe - or another upper level.
Human life is just one very little molecule of human mankind and very very small bits and pieces of the gorgeous genesis in the whole.
My object "The Eight" is related to this themes and with it I want to influence the spectator to think about those subjects.
With intention I have created the figure in a way that it seems to be unfinished or still "under construction" -
on the other hand already in a state of "putrefaction" and "decay".
The "male" and the "female" are related and can't be divided in the eternity of genesis - so they flow into each other
in this figure. In their center is the sun as the symbol of fertility and the postulate for life.
